Press Release
Electricoverstock.com helps Electricians eliminate costly warehouse surplus
A solution to reduce costly inventory, reduce material cost, and generate revenue for Electricians.
Orlando, FL, April 1, 2011:Electric Overstock, Inc. is a Business to Business Exchange serving the electrical contracting industry in the US. It was created as a cyber exchange for electricians to list surplus stock from years of over purchasing. Most distributors charge restocking fees and return shipping, thus creating a need for Electricians to keep the surplus. This surplus can add up to tens of thousands of dollars.
Electricoverstock.com allows the ease of exchange between licensed Electricians. Many listed items include: circuit breakers from Square D, Cutler Hammer, Siemens, and Zinsco along with many obsolete circuit breakers. Other categories include: Panel boards, tools, wiring devices, fuses, and much more. “We help create a revenue stream while reducing costly surplus inventory” said Jean Morrisette, President of Electric Overstock.
Jean notes that as Electricians we all have all had suspicious looking characters come into our shops unannounced with a wad of cash to buy our scrap copper and surplus circuit breakers. They want to buy a $50 circuit breaker for $1.00 – "right now cash". These breakers end up at some clearing house where we can buy them back at $35 - $200 or more.
The company was started by Jean Morrissette, who has been an engaged electrical contractor in Orlando, Florida for over 20 years and prior to the recession had offices and contracts in 5 States. Jean’s business partner, Lex George has been a practicing architect in the US and Canada for 27 years and took an interest in helping Jean set up Electric Overstock, Inc.
